So, a Good Samaritan pushes three people out of the way of a speeding truck, gets hit himself, suffers very serious injuries and spends time in the intensive care unit.....only to be given a ticket for jay walking later....wtf?
Years ago I had a classmate who worked as an EMT and told us that while riding back to "base" there was a man on the sidewalk, unresponsive. Just as any medical professional would do, they stopped to assist this man and proceeded to perform CPR and had to eventually use a defibrillator to restart the man's heart. Unfortunately, in haste the EMTs didn't put the padding on the man's chest before using the defibrillator and the man suffered burns to his chest. His heart was restarted and he was sent to the local hospital. A few weeks later the man came to the "base" to see the two EMTs who SAVED HIS LIFE. The EMTs, ecstatic to see the man walking, breathing and talking handed the EMTs court papers to let them know he was suing for the burns to his chest.....WTF? (luckily the case was thrown out however, WTF?)
There are Good Samaritan laws out there that are supposed to help protect us so that we'll wanna jump in and help try to save lives....

$795,000 Penis!
So imagine this....
You're a 33yr old male, in the operating room for a simple testicular surgery and you wake up in the recovery room, feeling numb and vulnerable. The surgical team approaches you to discuss your recent surgery and he mentions the only complication that any man would die after hearing:
"I have terrible news about your recent surgery. I'm sorry sir, but i accidently severed your penis while trying to make an incision into your testicle."
WTF?
Now i am neither a surgeon nor do i have a penis (ha!) so maybe i'm not at liberty to discuss this, however, let me tell you the what the temporary solution to this was......
The penis was severed, therefore the shaft was cut through severing the blood vessles, nerves, arteries and muscle that make up the penis. A piece of muscle was taken from the man's arm and attached to where his penis WAS, but they say its function is said to be strictly aesethetic. This gentleman was 33 and at the prime of his sex life, wtf is he gonna do with a penis for show? Can you imagine having to tell your wife/girlfriend/lover that you dont really have a penis? Why couldnt they reattach his severed penis?
Well, here's my solution: A Penile implant. (pictured below). At least this way he'll be able to get it up! He may even be able to have children if he still producing sperm.
The doctor's punishment: the fine of $795,000 and a one-year suspended prison sentence.
What would you do if this were you? Do you have any other solutions for this devastating problem?

Do you smoke?
When i was working in the emergency room as a new nurse, i got to see and learn lots of new things....
This one particular day comes to mind....
There was a lady who had come in, late 30s, early 40s, not particularly attractive, not exactly in shape, AA, she had short curly hair and she wore these thick glasses (the ones that are so thick they make your eyes look tiny).... Anyway, i was told she had come in for lets say leg pain or something bogus, but when i came into the room, the story was totally different.....
As a nurses we do a basic assessment, always asking, what brought the patient in, pain scale, whether they drink, smoke or did drugs ("recreational drugs" is what i called them, other people called them "street drugs").
This young lady, told me she had come in because she couldnt feel it when her mate was 'going down on her'. Now firstly, i was thinking how the hell is anybody going down on her? Without reservation, i continued:
Nurse: "Do you Smoke?"
Patient: "Yes, oh and i smoke crack sometimes"
Nurse: "Ooook, Do you Drink?"
Patient: "ooooo nooooo, never touch the stuff, mmm mmmm (while shaking head), no"
Wtf? - so apparently its ok to smoke (crack mind you) but never ever drink because it can ruin your liver! LOL....people....
